ELECTROMAGNETIC

VIBRO FEEDER TRAY TYPE

A controlled feeding solution for powders, granules, pellets and small components. The electromagnetic exciter and tuned leaf-spring system generate a repeatable conveying motion, while the controller adjusts output to suit the downstream process.

HOW THE VIBRO FEEDER WORKS

RECEIVE

Material enters the hopper from a bag, bin or upstream process.

SET BED DEPTH

The adjustable gate establishes a stable material layer on the tray.

GENERATE VIBRATION

The controller energizes the electromagnetic exciter.

GUIDE MOTION

Inclined leaf springs direct the controlled oscillating movement.

ADVANCE PRODUCT

Micro-throw action moves the material forward without a belt or screw.

DISCHARGE

A uniform, adjustable feed is delivered to the downstream equipment.

SYSTEM CONFIGURATION

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Weigher and packaging feed

Mixer / blender charging

Mill, sifter and reactor feed

Controlled bin discharge

Batch dosing and metering

Conveyor-to-process transfer

STANDARD CAPACITY & PRELIMINARY SIZING

Catalogue screening basis: free-flowing, dry material at 0.5 kg/L (500 kg/m3), stable hopper flow and a level installation. Use this sheet only for preliminary tray-width selection before material testing and dynamic design.

PRELIMINARY CAPACITY RELATION

Q = 3600 x rho x B x H x V x K

Q mass flow [kg/hr]

BXH material bed area [m2]

rho bulk density [kg/m31

V/K velocity/loading factor

WHAT CHANGES THE CAPACITY

MATERIAL

Low density, cohesive, moist, fragile or irregular products may require a wider tray or reduced output.

HOPPER FLOW

Bridging, rat-holing or an unstable gate opening prevents a consistent bed from reaching the tray.

TRAY GEOMETRY

Width, length, sidewall height, inclination and surface finish influence residence time and flow.

DYNAMIC TUNING

Exciter force, frequency, spring stiffness and moving mass must be tuned as one mechanical system.

PROCESS CONTROL

Controller range, load feedback, upstream level and downstream permissives determine repeatability.

FINAL ENGINEERING CHECK

Confirm actual material data

Verify hopper and interfaces

Calculate required feed range

Tune tray, springs and exciter

Conduct material trial / FAT
