RECTANGULAR
EXPLOSION VENT
Rectangular explosion vents provide rapid passive pressure relief when a combustible dust or gas explosion occurs inside industrial process equipment. Their rectangular format suits flat-sided enclosures, filters, ducts, conveyors and process machinery.
PROTECTION PRINCIPLE
As pressure rises, the vent opens rapidly and directs pressure, flame and combustion gases toward a designated safe area. This reduces internal explosion pressure to the value used for verification of the protected enclosure.
RECTANGULAR PRODUCT FAMILY.
COMPOSITE FLAT VENT
For industrial equipment operating near atmospheric pressure and vacuum.
SINGLE FLAT VENT
For clean-in-place or frequent product-changeover applications.
COMPOSITE DOME VENT
Dome-supported construction for applications with higher vacuum duty.
SANITARY DOME VENT
Hygienic construction for cleanability and higher-vacuum service.
HIGH-TEMPERATURE DOME
Insulated composite dome construction for elevated temperature
RAPID RELIEF. CONTROLLED OPENING. PASSIVE PROTECTION.
Final rectangular vent selection depends on enclosure geometry, dust or gas characteristics, required relief area, reduced explosion pressure, vent location and discharge arrangement. Selection must be verified by qualified explosion-protection engineering.
TECHNICAL RANGE & SELECTION
PERFORMANCE FEATURES
Certified venting efficiency
Engineered relief area and calibrated opening support predictable performance.
Passive protection
The vent operates without external power, instrumentation or active controls.
Rectangular mounting
Suited to flat-sided vessels, filters, ducts, conveyors and rectangular equipment openings.
Non-fragmenting opening
Membrane construction is designed to open without hazardous panel fragmentation.
Low maintenance
Static construction supports straightforward inspection-led maintenance.
Project compliance
Available for review against EN 14797, NFPA 68, ATEX and project requirements.
SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Correct installation and accessory selection are essential to keep the vent path unobstructed and to communicate a vent-opening event to the plant safety system.

GASKETS, FRAMES & ACCESSORIES
Integral gaskets
EPDM, silicone and non-asbestos options selected for service compatibility.
Companion frames
Mild-steel or stainless-steel mounting frames and installation hardware.
Burst indication
Proximity switch, magnetic indicator or integral burst indicator for PLC/DCS annunciation.
Flameless venting
For suitable indoor applications or dusty outdoor areas where secondary explosion risk must be considered.
Duct cover
Helps prevent atmospheric dust, rain ingress and obstruction of the vent discharge duct.
Discharge ducting
Engineered routing to a safe location; duct effects must be included in vent sizing.
INSTALLATION SAFETY NOTE
The discharge path must terminate in a controlled safe area. Personnel access, flame projection, pressure effects, vent ducting, nearby equipment, weather protection and secondary explosion hazards must be evaluated in the final installation design.
